Philip Baker Hall was an American actor. He was known for his collaborations with Robert Altman and Paul Thomas Anderson, he also starred in leading roles in films such as Secret Honor (1984), Hard Eight (1996), and Duck (2005).
Philip was born on September 10, 1931, in Toledo, Ohio. He was the only child of his parents. Growing up, he attended and graduated from the University of Toledo.
Beginning his career with a debut in 1970 in a movie titled Cowards, Philip joined the Los Angeles Theater Center. He earned his television role in an episode of Good Times (1974). Since his debut, Hall was credited with over 50 roles in movies and television films.
Philip died on June 12, 2022, at the age of 90 at his home in Glendale, California. He died from emphysema.
