Pitch invader sentenced to 100 days in prison by local district Court

Pitch Invader in Ghana-Chad Game Sentenced to 100 Days Imprisonment.

Mohammed Huzeinu, 21, has been sentenced to 100 days in prison by an Accra District Court for invading the pitch during Ghana’s match against Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, March 21, 2025.

According to the Ghana Football Association (GFA), this sentence comes as a warning to anyone who interns to disrupt game flow by invading the pitch in the future.

The association has been fined by the Confederation of African football twice in the past for such acts. They have paid a total of $30, 000 to the body and risk paying similar amount for Huzeinu’s act.

Pitch invasion is considered a grave security violation, as they disturb the flow of the match and create safety concerns for players, officials, and spectators alike.
