Porsha Williams’ Ex Simon Guobadia Detained by ICE Amid Ongoing Divorce Battle

The US Customs and Immigration Enforcement or ICE, has detained Guobadia, the estranged spouse of Porsha Williams, star of Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Guobadia 60 is listed as being in ICE custody and is being held at the Stewart Detention Center in Lumpkin Georgia by the Department of Homeland Security.

Guobadia, a Nigerian trader, first came to America in 1982 but reportedly stayed without a visa and was tagged for deportation as early as 1985 according to WSB-TV 2.

He returned in 1986 and overstayed his work visa again. Arrested in 1987, he accepted guilt to charges of bank and credit card fraud.

He has been deported in 1992 only to return a month later.

According to Atlanta Black Star’s 2024 report, he had been refused U.S. residency multiple times stating, “It’s disheartening to see my estranged husband make choices that have led to his outcome.”

For her part, Williams, 43, only needs to be married to someone for 15 months to qualify for a divorce. In November 2024, she got a court ruling granting her physical custody of their Georgia home, thus enabling her to continue shooting the “Real Housewives of Atlanta.” On Friday, she came out speaking on his detention.
