Prez. Akufo-Addo Commissions newly constructed Astro Turf football pitch and Water Suply project in Salaga

The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has commissioned some new projects in the Savanna Region.

Today 12th July marks the second day of the President’s visit to one of the newly created regions, Savanna Region.

His purpose of this visit is to inspect ongoing projects at the region and landed himself in the township of Salaga where some of those projects are completed and some still in the process.

Two of the completed projects are newly constructed Astro Turf Football Pitch and a water Suply project that is aimed at solving the much cried for water problems in the township.

He took advantage of his visits to commission those two projects and also revealed 30% works have been done so far on a 71km ongoing road construction.

“On Monday, 12th July 2021, I ended my 2-day working visit of the Savannah Region, with visits to Kpembe, Salaga and Bunjai.”

“Amongst others, I paid a courtesy call on the Kpembe Wura; commissioned the Salaga Water Supply project; commissioned the newly constructed AstroTurf football pitch in Salaga; and inspected ongoing work on the 71km Bunjai-Fufulso road, which is currently 30% complete and will be completed in August 2023.” He stated via a Facebook post.
