The Kidd Creole, is a former American rapper who was a member of the group Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five with his brother Melle Mel and is considered one of the pioneers of old school hip hop. He was sentenced to 16 years in prison in May 2022 for manslaughter charges in the August 2017 stabbing of a homeless man in Manhattan.

Glover and his brother Melvin (called Melle Mel) teamed up with Keef Cowboy (Keith Wiggins) to form the Three MC’s in 1978, with Grandmaster Flash handling the production (Joseph Saddler).

The group recorded two singles (one as the Younger Generation and one as Flash & the Five) before becoming Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five and recording the Superappin’ EP for Enjoy Records, owned by R&B legend Bobby Robinson, after two additional MCs (Scorpio (originally Mr. Ness, aka Ed Morris) and Raheim (Guy Williams) joined them.

After leaving The Furious Five in 1983, Flash, Rahiem, and Creole continued to record together for Elektra Records, subsequently reuniting with Melle Mel and the others for a reunion in 1987.
