Former Survivor contestant Roger Sexton has died after a lengthy battle with dementia. He was 76.

Roger Sexton was born in Oakland, California on September 26, 1946. He rose to fame in 2000 after he appeared on season 6 of Survivor.

Roger was a retired military man. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps upon graduating high school in 1964. He went on to serve in Vietnam from 1966 to 1967.

Roger died on October 26, 2022, in Walla Walla, Washington at his daughter’s house. His family however announced Roger’s death in November.

Roger Sexton’s Cause of Death

Roger died after he suffered complications from Dementia. He was 76 years.

According to his tribute, Roger was “valiant courageous battle with Lewy body dementia” and was surrounded by his friends and caretakers in his final moments.

According to Mayo Clinic, Roger suffered from a varied type of Dementia which is the second most common type of progressive dementia after Alzheimer’s disease.
