Tourism is now understood as being an economic activity of global
significance. As the importance of the activity has increased, so too has the
attention given to it by governments, organizations in both the public and
private sectors, and academics

Tourism is an activity which cuts across traditional sectors in the
economy. It requires intakes of a financial, civic, cultural and environmental aspect. In this sense it is often described as being multi-faceted.

The difficulty in depicting tourism as an ‘industry’ is that it does not possess
the normal formal production task, nor does it have an output which
can physically be measured, unlike agriculture (tonnes of wheat) or
beverages (litres of whisky).

There is no widespread configuration which is symbolic of the business in every nation. In France and Italy, for
example, cafeterias and shopping capabilities are important attractions for travelers; in Russia they are not recognize as so.

The tourism enterprise has established jobs for lot of people in the country. Tour guards, hotel operators, eateries, drivers and  crafters are people whose businesses will be boasted if steps are probably taken to develop our sceneries. Ghana has the chances of earning more from our tourist sites if you put various measures in place.

Tourism is, nonetheless, a modern invention. The term was uncommon in the English wording until the last century, and increasingly appeared to have a moderately suspect importance, describing group travel of the cheaper kind, with an element of an insular dislike of outsiders and foreigners.

In contrast, the words travel and traveller were respected, reflecting the quality of the earlier travellers who were related with the rich, informed, or aristocratic and society leader.
