Afro pop Ghanaian musician Kelvin Bwoy has revealed his talent has given him opportunities despite Stonebwoy’s help
Kelvin Bwoy has disclosed that yes indeed Stonebwoy gave him the platform but his talent has sent him through.
The Ghanaian Afrobeat singer Kelvyn Boy has previously disclosed that making his fans happy and seeing them enjoy the music he produces is worth more to him than winning an award.
He made this statement referring to how he felt about not winning any award in the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
Speaking on kingdom plus with the host Fiifi Pratt this afternoon, the question to him was that if he had the talent why didn’t he project it and made it feel like it was hidden?.
He answered by saying “please it wasn’t hidden, if it were, I wouldn’t have been following Stonebwoy because I was his backing vocalist.
I backed him and I still got recognized and a lot of people came to me to take pictures with me. I backed Stonebwoy at a time and afterwards he showed me a message that chronix the Jamaican artiste has said and that was that he admired my talent.
Because of me, the youth are doing afropop previously it was dancehall.”
