Teacher found de@d in class with self-inflicted gunshot wounds

On Thursday morning, a Tennessee teacher was found dead in his classroom at Munford High School from a self-inflicted gunshot according to the police.

60-year-old Samuel Colin Day’s body was found around 6 a.m. in his class before any students had arrived for classes. Colins was the school’s Special Education director.

The school called it in the police for an emergency and The Munford Police Department responded only to find Samuel dead in his class.

Classes were cancelled on Thursday to allow police time to investigate.

Officials said in a statement Day died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends, students, and faculty affected by this heartbreaking event,” police said in their statement.
