In 2022, Music Rights Activist MarkDarlington filed a lawsuit against Ghana’s FDA.
The lawsuit opposes regulations restricting celebrities from promoting alcoholic beverages. Mark, a participant of GHANA MUSIC ALLIANCE, cited that these rules breeds discrimination and results in economic loss to celebrities.
While the FDA introduced the 2015 rules to fight against teenage alcoholism, Mark contends they clash with the constitution of Ghana.
Mark and his associates at GMA seeked accountability, oppose the ban, and hammered on the significance of a progressive entertainment sector.
