The world’s first synthetic human robot named Protoclone is unveiled
Through the blend of artificial muscle structures beneath the translucent skin, experts have created a robot with functions that look almost lifelike.
Clone Robotics, a startup from Poland, has shared another clip from Protoclone-its “faceless, anatomically accurate synthetic human.”
The 6-foot prototype machine was hanging from the ceiling in the deep secrecy of the company’s development workshop.

In a shared video, the limbs of Protoclone are shown twitching back and forth with the head bowed, like a puppet sprung to life.
Protoclone is described as “the world’s first bipedal, musculoskeletal android”, one with fake bones, joints, tendons and muscles that can walk on two legs.
The firm posted the viral clip to X and it received mixed reactions, with one describing it as “awesome” and another calling it “spooky”.

Some social media users seemed to be disturbed by the faceless droid, with one saying: “Can you just draw a smiley face on the head, please?”
Next to other types of robots, Protoclone has arguably more human-like body shapes and realistic movements.
This protoype is considered “anatomically accurate” in the sense of having more than 200 degrees of freedom, namely 200 possible movements.
It has 1,000 artificial muscle fibres or myofibers and 500 sensors for letting the bot sense its environment.
