The former Golf Channel host was diagnosed with the disease in December 2018 and had been suffering from memory problems for more than two years.

As a seasoned photojournalist, Tim Rosaforte covered 147 major tournaments, rubbing elbows with such golfing legends as Arnold Palmer and Tiger Woods.

At age 64, he retired from broadcasting and was named as the 12th honorary member of the PGA of America, the organization’s highest honor. The PGA named him to their Hall of Fame, and the University of Rhode Island made a scholarship in his name.
