It was unclear at first what exactly was the cause of death for the late singer Tommy Lister.
The investigation revealed that the star suffered from hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.
He was 62 years old when he died.
He reportedly struggled to breathe, and was lethargic a week before his death.
He had not visited his manager’s home for at least a week prior to his death.
His family had been concerned about his health in the days before his death, as he was unable to make the initial day of filming for a film with Sam Worthington.
He also missed a scheduled appearance at a TV festival for his role in Zoom. The actor was found unconscious in his L.A. apartment in December. He was pronounced dead on the spot. An autopsy revealed that the singer had an enlarged heart, a high blood pressure, and poor circulation in his legs.
A few days before his death, Lister had canceled a panel at a television festival and a film shoot with Sam Worthington. When his house didn’t appear to be open, his assistant went to check on him. However, when he didn’t answer his door, a friend called the police and he was found dead in his home. His cause of death was not yet confirmed, but it is believed that it was due to natural causes.
