UEFA and CONMEBOL are in advanced talks to hold a match between the new European and South American champions.
The game if agreed will be played between Argentina and Italy in Naples to honor oDiego legendary Argentine striker Diego Maradona who sadly passed away recently.
Maradona passed away last November, and the two nations he’s intimately tied to are Italy and Argentina. He enjoyed his best years of club football in the former, where he starred with Napoli, and led the latter to the 1986 World Cup almost single-handedly.
Both Argentina and Italy were recently-crowned regional champions. Just last weekend with Italy winning Euro 2020 at the expense of England in London after some dramatic Penalty shootout.
Argentina also won the Copa America at the expense of Brazil in Rio de Janeiro, thanks to a stunning lob by Angel Di Maria.
