UEW Lectures to be called off temporarily after a Student allegedly tested positive for COVID-19

A Level 300 student of the University of Education, Winneba has reportedly tested positive for the deadly COVID-19.

The virus, declared as a global pandemic continue to take the entire world by storm and it’s looking like there’s no stopping it soon.

In attempt to cub the spread, The Ghana Health Service reported the ongoing happenings to alert citizens to follow the COVID-19 protocols again.

A report from the Director of the Winneba based University’s Health Service department Dr. Beth Offei Awuku has it that the virus is fast spreading across the Uew various campuses.

Less than 24 hours after his statement, another report follows up indicating a level 300 student of the Mathematics department have tested positive to the virus and as such lectures will be temporarily called off to help in the fight of the virus according to a report filed by Uew connect.
