Rufftown records artiste Wendy Shay has revealed why she didn’t put in any effort in canvassing for votes for the recently held Vodafone Ghana music award even though she was nominated.
Speaking in an interview on Zylofon Fm in Accra, the “Uber driver” hitmaker said there are two artiste in Ghana, one is an industry artiste and the other is artiste who is in the Industry.
She went further to state that She is an artiste in the industry, hence she is not necessarily in the good books of wars organizers.
She said there are some artiste who will win awards no matter how badly they perform musically in the year under review.
Wendy Shay herself has been adjudged as the new artiste of the year barely two years ago.
When she was pushed further by the host about her views on Awards in Ghana, she compared both VGMA and 3Music awards to NDC and NPP, she said the award schemes are all the same.
They have their favorite people they will award no matter what, hence she not prioritizing winning any award in the 22nd held Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
