The Ghanaian music industry has witnessed a lot of groups which really made serious impact with their music but subsequently split up.
From the Beatles to Guns and Roses, Destiny’s Child to Spice Girls, One Direction to UB 40, The Everly Brothers to The Backstreet Boys, Style Plus to P-Square, 4×4 to VIP and VVIP, Triple M, Wutah, Praye, etc.
What happens when various differences, affiliations, commitments, money, visibility, partners and other things get in the way of group harmony? Why do groups break up? This was the question on Joy FM entertainment program dubbed showbiz A-Z.
The host George Quaye with his able panelists; Uncle Ken, Kofi Otchere Darko and Bulldog deliberated on why groups spilt up.
Later on Reggie Rockstone of VVIP was called to explain what is actually happening to their current Music group VVIP.
He posited ” the music group hasn’t broken up and he is currently on his way to celebrate the birthday party of Lazzy. Which suggest the group is still functioning.”
