WAEC are now shedding crocodile tears. We all know that last year’s WASSCE papers were leaked to enable the Akufo Addo graduates pass well, in order to shame some imaginary naysayers.
Initially, the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced that the 2021 Elective Maths and English Language papers have been compromised
The examination body said it was pulling out the supervisors and invigilators from overseeing the WASSCE awaiting additional punishments.
Africa Education Watch stated this, but WAEC denied it. WAEC swore that there was no leakage in the examinations and their stance was corroborated by GES and the Ministry of Education.
Today it’s WAEC itself that is claiming that its WASSCE papers for this year too have leaked. Now where do we start from? What can anyone do about this? Because at all costs WAEC has to guard its credibility.
We can only continue to pretend, we can only gloss over it as if we don’t know where it came from. But we all know that whatever happens, this year too, the Akufo Addo graduates will perform their Akufo Addo ‘wonders’.
At the end of it all, all that Africa Education can do is to report the leakage and the denial will as usual also come from the GES and the Ministry. That has become a routine.
