What happened to blue sky studios?: Fans have been treated to a funny final product by BLUESKY STUDIOS. They are the creators of blockbuster animation series Ice Age.

The company will close in 2021, but the geniuses of the company released a clip of Scrat, the squirrel-loving sabretooth acorn-loving squirrel, as a final goodbye. Blue Sky Studios: What happened?

What happened to blue sky studios?

Blue Sky Studios, Inc., an American computer animation film studio, was based in Greenwich, Connecticut.

In 1987, Chris Wedge, Michael Ferraro and Carl Ludwig founded the company. This is the same team that created Tron (1982).

The studio began by creating visual effects for films and commercials, before focusing on animated film production.

20th Century Fox released Ice Age in 2002 as the first feature. It tells the story of a group mammal, including Manny the mammoth and Sid the prehistoric sloth that survived the Paleolithic era.

The mega-film studio, Blue Sky Studios, acquired Blue Sky Studios in 2019.

When Disney purchased the film giant in 2019, it was anticipated that Blue Sky Studios would collapse into their animation wing.

Instead, the company decided to shut down the operation and blame the economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic for its business operations.

The studio closed its doors on April 10, 2021. However, they were still working on an animation adaptation Nimona. Also, there are short films about Scrat and Scrat the squirrel.

However, the staff of Ice Age had one more trick in their arsenal to delight Ice Age fans.

Did Scrat win the acorn during Ice Age?

Chris Wedge voices Scrat. He is a rodent obsessed with acorns and chases the dream of safely hiding and capturing an acorn.

This long-running character, who was also the company’s mascot, chased the acorn across six films and many shorts.

The anxious rodent was unable to hold onto his acorn or get his teeth into the film.

It’s over.

A brand new YouTube clip, simply called “The End” by Finale – Scrat finally eats his acorn and seems surprised.

Description: The video says, “In the last days of Blue Sky Studios a small group of artists came together for one final shot.

“This is our farewell shot, a send off on our terms.”

Although the video has yet to be confirmed, it provides closure to a 20-YEAR campaign by the prehistoric rodent in grasping and eating the object he values above all else.

What movies did Blue Sky Studios make?

Despite having a career spanning 34 years, the company only began producing films in 2002.

The company has since released 13 feature films and a number of shorts.

Ice AgeRio were the most popular franchises of the studio.
