William Shakespeare was an English playwright, poet, and actor. He is widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language and the world’s greatest dramatist.
There is a few records of Shakespeare’s private life survive which have stimulated considerable speculation about such matters as his physical appearance, his sexuality, his religious beliefs, and whether the works attributed to him were written by others.
Shakespeare’s early plays were primarily comedies and histories and are regarded as some of the best works produced in these genres.
At the age of 18, he married Anne Hathaway, with whom he had three children: Susanna and twins Hamnet and Judith.
What Happened To Shakespeare’s Son?
Hamnet died when he was eleven years old, in August 1596. The cause of his death is still not known.
It is however believed that he died from an unknown plague since most a third of children of his age died at the same time.
It is also believed that his death influenced his father to switch from writing comedies to writing tragic stories in the later phases of his life.
