Two members of the 401st Military Police Company, Kamisha Block and Paul Brandon Norris, who had been moved from Camp Liberty, Iraq, to Fort Hood, Texas, were shot and killed on August 16, 2007.

On August 16, 2007, while serving at Camp Liberty in Iraq as a member of the 401st Military Police Company, Spc. Kamisha Block was killed by another soldier. The Army has restarted its inquiry into her death after a 12-year hiatus.

What Motivated Paul Brandon Norris to Kill Kamisha Block?

Paul Brandon Norris committed this murder-suicide because of their close friendship.

Paul and Kamisha met for the first time in Fort Hood, Texas, and their chemistry quickly developed into love. The situation had heated up by the time they got to Iraq, and Kamisha wanted to cancel.

A military comrade of Kamisha’s stationed at the same Iraqi facility later admitted to feeling imprisoned by the union. They also mentioned that when Paul was brought up in chats in the days before the event, Kamisha declined to bring it up.

The most bizarre part of the entire tale, however, is that on August 17, 2007, the two soldiers tasked with informing Kamisha’s family of her passing did so by telling them that she had died from a single bullet wound to the chest received while being under direct fire. When Kamisha’s body was delivered and her relatives saw the numerous wounds, they naturally began to speculate.

According to specific allegations, Paul Brandon’s behavior was questionable before Kamisha’s tragic death, and the Army subsequently erased numerous records referring to his acts. Furthermore, it’s claimed that Brandon encountered problems that day and was unable to participate in a mission.

How did Paul Brandon Norris fare?

Two members of the 401st Military Police Company, Kamisha Block and Paul Brandon Norris, who had been moved from Camp Liberty, Iraq, to Fort Hood, Texas, were shot and killed on August 16, 2007.

On that day, the 30-year-old staff sergeant allegedly visited Kamisha’s home and gave her roommate orders to keep their distance. The roommate followed instructions but stayed close by. She hurried to the door when she heard a couple of gunshots, only to find Paul pointing the gun at her when she opened it.

After being shot five times in the head and chest, Kamisha, 20, was lying on the ground gushing blood. However, Paul was still unhurt at that time. The staff sergeant turned the gun on himself and shot once, aiming straight for his head, defying orders to either speak or shoot the roommate.
