When did Valerie Bertinelli and Eddie Van Halen divorce?

Bertinelli, 61, and the late Van Halen met backstage at a Van Halen performance in 1980, and eight months later, they went down the aisle.
Despite what many saw as a hasty marriage, the former couple was said to get along well and had been married for almost 20 years.
The couple eventually split up in 2001, and their divorce was formalized five years later.
One of the many reasons Ed and I broke up was to offer Wolfie a clearer image of what two people who are purportedly in love treat one another like.
So I’m hoping that when he finally gets married and has a family, he takes his time and marries a buddy rather than someone with whom he can’t keep his hands off.
She also confessed that adultery on both sides contributed to their demise.
“I was smitten with the drummer of this band, who happened to be a friend of my brother,” she said. All I wanted was for someone to love and touch me. I wasn’t receiving it at home, either.

That, however, is not an excuse. What I should have done was deal with our marriage’s difficulties, split, and then go do something else. But that was an enormous, terrible mistake.
Bertinelli married Tom Vitale in 2011 after their divorce, while Van Hallen married Janie Liszewski in 2009, and they were married until his death.

What was Eddie Van Halen’s cause of death?

Van Halen died unexpectedly on October 6, 2020, at the age of 65, after a protracted fight with throat cancer that spread to his brain.
His death certificate, acquired by TMZ at the time, said that he died of a cerebrovascular accident or stroke. He also had a variety of underlying issues, including head and neck skin carcinoma.
Bertinelli broke down in tears during an interview on the Today Show in January 2021 when she spoke about how “impossible” it was to deal with his loss.
“I’m not sure why I’m crying.” “You know, when you hear voices and see individuals with whom you have a connection, you guys always make me cry,” she said at the time. “It’s been difficult.” It’s rather bittersweet. “
She then admitted that she had attempted to contact him many times before learning she couldn’t.
In her book, which was published on January 18, 2022, Bertinelli revisited her late ex-death husband’s life in her book.
She told USA Today, “I wasn’t planning to write a book on grieving when I began it, but I was in the midst of it.” “Writing about it ended up being quite therapeutic.”
Following their divorce, she said in the book that she and Van Halen got closer, eventually describing him as her “soulmate.”
“Ed and I became much closer,” she stated. “We couldn’t live with each other, but we couldn’t live without each other.”

Did Valerie and Eddie have any children together?

The former couple had one kid together during their marriage, a boy named Wolfgang.
Wolfgang, 30, is an American musician who was born on March 16, 1991.

From 2006 until 2020, he was the bassist for his father’s band, and from 2012 to 2016, he was a member of the heavy metal band Tremonti.
