White House responds to French politician’s request for the return of the Statue of Liberty

The secretary to the White House Karoline Leavitt has responded to the French politician who demanded that the Statue of Liberty should be returned to France.

In a press conference, Katherine revealed to reporters that the US was in no way going to return the statue to France. She also stated that the people of France should rather be grateful to the United States.

In her reply to a reporter who asked if President Donald Trump was planning on accepting the demand of the Member of the European Parliament by sending the statue back Catherine replied, “Absolutely not.”

“And my advice to that unnamed low level French politician would be to remind them that it’s only because of the United States of America that the French are not speaking German right now so they should be very grateful to our great country,” she continued

According to Raphaël Glucksmann, a French member of the European Parliament, the US no longer represents the values for which France gave them the statue.
