Valentine’s debut mixtape, Route 80, was released in 2012. On YouTube, the singles “Bubble Gum” and “Hip-hop Joan Jett” became big hits. Valentine’s EP Valentine debuted at number 38 on the iTunes R&B charts in 2013. Red Velvet, the singer’s second mixtape, was released on July 8, 2014.
