Pierre Arcand is a politician, businessman, broadcaster, and journalist from Quebec Canada. He is a member of the National Assembly of Quebec, representing the provincial district of Mont-Royal–Outremont on Montreal’s Island. He is a member of the Liberal Party of Quebec.

Who is Dominique Chaloult, Pierre Arcand’s wife?

Dominique Chaloult is a media executive from Québec. In 2015, she became the executive director of television at Radio-Canada, a public broadcaster.

Chaloult returned to Quebec after leaving school and traveling to Mexico to work as a DJ at CIME-FM. She went on to work as a television researcher and then as a programming director, specializing in comedies and variety shows.

Chaloult has had several major successes, although she has admitted to having a few “flops” that she credits with helping her improve her gift. She worked for TVA as a variety advisor.

From June 2004 to June 2009, Chaloult was the Director of Varieties at Radio-Canada.

Chaloult took a year off from her profession to support her husband, Pierre Arcand, who had been appointed Minister of International Relations. Chaloult returned to Quebec after deciding that foreign diplomacy was not for her and created her own production firm, La boîte de Prod (Prod Box), which she presided over for a year and a half before selling her interests.

From January 2012 to December 2014, Chaloult was the general manager of programming and new media at Télé-Québec. She created Les Bobos [fr], Deux hommes en or, SNL Québec, and 125, Marie-Anne during her time at Télé-Québec.

Chaloult rejuvenated the public broadcaster, according to columnist Nathalie Petrowski, by taking risks and producing innovative and diverse programs.

In January 2015, Chaloult was appointed Executive Director of Television for Radio-Canada.

Chaloult established a television cultural strategy division at Radio-Canada in 2016 to build an action plan that better reflects the broadcaster’s audience’s diversity.

Chaloult received a tribute at the Women’s Film, Television, and Digital Media Gala in 2017.
