Miller Enterprises and Better Black Television, a short-lived online television network, were both founded by him. Miller rose to prominence in the mid-1990s because to the popularity of his hip hop duo TRU and his fifth solo rap album Ice Cream Man, which featured his first song “Mr. Ice Cream Man.” After the success of his Platinum hit “Make ‘Em Say Uhh!” in 1997, Miller earned even more popularity. He went to Warren Easton High School and Booker T. Washington High School.

Miller received an athletic scholarship to the University of Houston after playing basketball there, but dropped out months into his freshman year and went to Merritt College in Oakland, California to study business administration.

Miller received $10,000 as part of a malpractice compensation after his grandfather died. Miller founded No Limit Records And Tapes in Richmond, California, which later became the foundation for No Limit Records. Master P released the cassette tape Mind Of A Psychopath on February 15, 1990.
