Glyn Davis AC (born July 25, 1959) is the incoming Secretary of the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet, having been selected by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on May 30, 2022, and taking office on June 6, 2022.

Davis was previously a Distinguished Professor at the Crawford School of Public Policy at the Australian National University. He was the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Melbourne from January 2005 until September 2018.

Davis attended Kogarah’s Marist Brothers College. He went on to study political science at the University of New South Wales and the Australian National University, where he completed a doctoral thesis on the political independence of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, before going on to post-doctoral fellowships at the University of California, Berkeley, the Brookings Institution in Washington, DC, and Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
