The Masked Singer (TMS) is an American reality singing competition television series that premiered on Fox on January 2, 2019. It is part of the Masked Singer franchise which began in South Korea. The show is hosted by Nick Cannon.

The show features celebrities singing songs while wearing head-to-toe costumes and face masks concealing their identities. To prevent their identities from being revealed before each prerecorded episode is broadcast.

In May 2022, the series was renewed for an eighth season, which premiered in September 2022. It shows on Fox TV every Wednesday.

However, on October 12, 2022, fans got disappointed after Fox TV showed the Phillies and the Braves game instead of their favourite show. Read on to find out what happened.

Why Isn’t ‘The Masked Singer’ on Tonight?

Due to the rains on October 12, the game between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Atlanta Brave was delayed. This pushed the starting time of the game to three hours from its starting period.

Fox was also set to air the game between the Padres and Dodgers at 8:37 p.m. EST.

Due to these inconveniences, Fox had to switch around their programmes to accommodate the baseball games. In doing so, they discarded episode 4 of The Masked Singer which was set to be shown that evening.

Will ‘The Masked’ Singer Be On Tonight?

After not premiering episode 4 of The MAsked singer, the show’s office Twitter account came out to apologize for their inability to give heads up beforehand.

Continuing, they said the show will be on screens next week. In the tweet, they wrote, “Please forgive us… 🙏We’re sorry we missed you tonight, but we’ll see you next week on @FOXTV! 🎭 #TheMaskedSinger.”

Fans however took to social media to express their grievances and pain.
