Wing of Delta Air Lines plane hit runway at LaGuardia Airport during landing

A Delta passenger jet arriving from Jacksonville, Florida, scraped its left wing on the runway during landing at New York’s LaGuardia Airport Sunday night pilots unaware until air traffic control flagged it.

On March 16, Delta operated by Endeavor Air flight DL4814 from #Jacksonville experienced an incident during its landing at LaGuardia Airport.

The aircraft’s left wing made contact with the runway while the pilot was performing a go-around due to an unstable approach.

The plane, carrying 80 passengers and crew, circled back and landed safely, proceeding to its gate without injuries. Delta has confirmed the aircraft remains grounded, apologizing for the incident.

Delta Airlines have mishaps lately. Last month, their flight was involved in a fiery crash landing in Toronto.
