Woman impersonate her late mother for 19 years to obtain $340k veterans benefits
A woman based in Florida has been able to scam authorities by impersonating her late mother.

The woman was able to cash out a Whooping amount of $340k from the Veterans Affairs department.
Delving into what exactly happened, it was reported that the rightful owner of the Veteran Affairs benefit was her mother.

Her mother however passed away and she failed to report it to the authorities just so she can takeover from there.
She went ahead to forge her late mother’s signature and has since been receiving her funds for 19 years.
“One day, the Veteran Affairs department decided to visit their home and she told them her mother is alive and kicking.

She was arrested later and sentenced to 1 year imprisonment and also tasked to return the stolen benefit or forfeit any personal asset equivalent to the total amount of benefits she enjoyed..
