Woman sues her fertility clinic after she gives birth to wrong baby due to IVF mix up

A Georgian photographer Krystena Murray, is sueing her fertility clinic Coastal Fertility Specialist, after they made a mistake and mixed up her embryo with another.

Murray had the shock of her life after giving birth to an African American baby boy although her sperm donor was also white. According to her, she still loved the baby although she recognized the mistake from birth.

After informing the clinic of the mix-up, the biological parents of the kid demanded custody and she gave it up to avoid any legal battle after taking care of the baby for five months.

“I grew him, I raised him, I loved him. I saw him no different than if he were mine, my own genetic embryo,” Krystena told NBC. She says the separation has caused her trauma.

Kristen is now sueing the fertility clinic for turning her into an “unwittingly surrogate against her will.” The suit alleges that Murray “unknowingly and unwillingly carried a child through pregnancy who was not biological related to her.”
